I am a mixed media artist specialising in textiles, material exploration is a key element in all aspects of my work. Once I find a material that works well I tend to squeeze every last drop of creativity from it, I then move on and source more materials and objects that appeal to me in some way.                                 

I find that more often than not my inspiration comes from urban development, mainly big city architecture that consists of basic linear shaping and monochrome colour palettes. Being from the countryside these elements are hard to come by and since starting my studies at Manchester School of Art the cityscape has had a huge influence on my work.
